Dear reader,
Hi there. If you’re reading this, you’re probably my dad, or my friend, and already know this stuff. But if by some slim chance you are actually interested in learning about me, here it is: I run a small company called Second Base from my finely appointed garoffice in Venice, California.
I’ve never studied business or worked in fashion, yet I find myself running a clothing business. It just started with an idea. From this idea, I created the Second Base collection: A line of fitted demi-camis designed to layer under your low cut dresses and tops. This blog is a scrapbook of my journey in developing, launching, and building my business.
I’ve spent a lot of time and money learning from my mistakes, diving head first in the garment industry, and the world of business ownership. I think of it as an education and an adventure. I thought that this record might be of interest and even encouragement to someone out there who might be dealing with some of the same struggles.
